Low resolution imagery and the cueing of assets

The introduction of other imaging technologies would continue to diversify the types of information collection and analysis available, only continuing the trendtowards a multidisciplinary approach in analyzing these new imagery formats.

The apex of analytical techniques would be seen during the cold war. Imagery would reveal the physical layout of different sites which would reveal the use of these sites.

The imagery resolution for this type of analysis would be low, only when smaller scale details were necessary would it become necessary to collect higher resolution imagery or other imaging technologies to  confirm initial findings or narrow down the search for targets, a process that would become known as cueing.
